Members will have received notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Construction Bar Association which will take place on the 25th day of July 2019 at 3:45pm in the Gaffney Room, the Distillery Building,145 – 151 Church Street, Dublin 7.
The Executive Committee of the CBA is made up of 4 Officers (Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) and up to 7 Ordinary Executive Committee members.
Candidates for any of the 4 Officer positions shall be nominated by the Executive Committee and shall be elected at the AGM to serve for one year and until their successors have been elected pursuant to Article 5 of the Constitution and Rules of the CBA. All nominations have been received for these positions.
Candidates for Ordinary Executive Committee membership can be nominated both by the outgoing executive committee or by two members of the Association who shall, not less than 14 days in advance of the AGM, notify the Secretary in writing of their intention to nominate the particular candidate and certify that the candidate, if elected, is prepared to serve on the Executive Committee.
In the event that all positions are not filled at the AGM, the Executive Committee may co-opt up to two Ordinary Executive Committee members during the year.
In the event that the number of validly nominated candidates for any position exceeds the number of positions available, an election will be held at the AGM.
This year there are no proposed changes to the CBA Constitution and Rules.
