Michaelmas II – the Civil Liability of Certifiers – John Trainor SC

John Trainor SC will deliver his paper to the Members on the liability of certifiers in light of the BC(A)Rs (as amended) at 16:30 on Wednesday 14th December 2016 in the Gaffney Room in the Distillery Building.  John’s paper will deal with how the BC(A)R’s are operating in practice, including re the GCCC, and shall consider the likely position of certifiers, in terms of civil liability, and the concerns arising, after the case of McGee v  Alcorn and Friel (O’Malley J, 5 Feb 2016, [2016] IEHC 59.

Registration is from 16:15.  CPD points are available to attendees under the Law Society and the Bar Council Continuing Professional Development schemes (certificates provided upon request).

After the conclusion of the presentation of the paper and Q&A, Members are invited (downstairs) to the Sheds for Christmas drinks.
